This is the main thing on the site: paste something you're about to post, and get a cringe score, a diagnosis, and some advice before it goes anywhere. It's free, it needs no account, and nothing you type is kept afterwards.
step by step
- Pick where it's headed. The row of chips under the text box — instagram, x / twitter, bluesky, linkedin, tiktok, reddit text post, group chat, dating app — changes two things: how the screening is judged, and how long a draft you're allowed. Most platforms cap you at 600 characters. Reddit text posts get 4000, since people actually write essays there.
- Paste or type your draft. The counter next to "specimen" tracks how close you are to the limit. If you switch to a shorter platform after writing something long, the counter turns red and the button disables until you either trim it or switch to a longer-form platform — nothing is ever silently cut off for you.
- No draft handy? Tap one of the sample specimens under the button. They're written to show off different kinds of cringe, and one of them only shows up once you've picked a long-form platform.
- Hit Run Screening. The button disables while it's thinking. This is the only step that costs anything on the site's end — nothing is charged to you for a screening.
- Read the result. Covered in full below.
reading your score
The score is 0–100, lower is better. It sits inside a tier that gives you the vibe at a glance:
| score | tier | meaning |
| 0–15 | clean | no findings |
| 16–35 | mildly goofy | within tolerance |
| 36–55 | under review | proceed with caution |
| 56–75 | yikes zone | recommend edit |
| 76–90 | biohazard | contain it |
| 91–100 | do not post | evacuate |
Below the score you'll find four things:
- diagnosis — a short, punchy label for whatever's going on with the post.
- the paragraph underneath it — the actual counselling: what the post is doing, why it reads that way, and some reassurance. This is written to be funny and kind, never insulting — it roasts the post's choices, never you.
- observations — a short list of specific things it noticed in your actual text, not generic advice.
- prescription — one line on what to actually do about it.
when a screening gets halted instead of scored
Occasionally you'll see "screening halted" instead of a score. That happens when what you pasted looks like something more serious than cringe — harassment, a threat, something that could put someone at risk. It isn't scored, and no game-cringe advice is given for it. If that happens and you're going through something difficult, it's worth talking to a real person rather than a website.
the $1.99 rewrite
Under your result is the treatment ward. For $1.99 you can unlock three rewrites of the exact draft you screened: a light-touch edit, a safe version, and one that keeps the chaos but makes it land on purpose. Same point, your voice, less cringe.
- Tap "get my rewrites". This opens Gumroad in a new tab, where the $1.99 is charged. This site never sees your card details or your name — Gumroad handles the whole transaction.
- Find the licence key on your receipt. Gumroad emails it to you and shows it on the confirmation page.
- Paste it into the licence key field and hit unlock. The key is checked against Gumroad before anything is generated. A wrong or already-refunded key is rejected with a reason, not a generic error.
- It's remembered. Once a key is accepted, it's saved on your device, so your next screening on this browser unlocks with one click. There's a "forget my key" link if you'd rather it wasn't.
One thing worth knowing: the rewrite always applies to the draft you actually screened, even if you've since edited the text box — so what you paid for and what you get always match.
sharing your result
After a screening, a share row appears. It draws a 9:16 image (or 4:5 for the IG post button) with your score, diagnosis, and a short excerpt of your draft, watermarked with the site's address. Nothing is uploaded anywhere to make this — it's drawn entirely in your browser.
- Download card always works.
- Share… appears on phones with a native share sheet (Android Chrome, iOS Safari) and hands the image straight to whatever app you pick.
- IG story / IG post use that same share sheet where available; otherwise they download the card for you to upload by hand, since there's no way for a website to post to Instagram directly.
- X / Bluesky / Facebook open a pre-filled post on that platform and download the card at the same time — none of the three let a website attach an image through a link, so you'll need to attach the downloaded file yourself.
language
The whole tool — the labels, the score, and the AI's actual reply — follows your browser's language automatically. You can override it with the picker in the footer. English, Spanish, and Basque are written by hand; anything else is translated on request and cached, so it costs nothing on repeat visits.
